WRESTLING
BIRKENHEAD COMPETITIONS The wrestling competitions in the Birken- . head Foresters' Hall last evening were witnessed by a large gathering 1 of_ spectators, and a.substantial amount wns raised in support of the Birkenhead School queen, Miss Sybil Norton, in the dental clinic carnival. The referee was Mr. B. O'Do'nnell. An exhibition bout was given by Kisha Bana with F. Adams, a description of. the various holds being given by Mr. Fred tlunce._ The competitions resulted:— Light-weight, VM. Brown defeated F., Adams; featherweight, S. Whit combo drew with H. Green; welter-weight, E. Johnston drew with S. Walding; light-heavy-weight, S. Higgins defeated J. Maloney; welter-weight, B. Thomas defeated E.' Ivey; middle-weight, S. Munce defeated E. Paget; light-weight, K. Brewer drew with J. McPonald.
