TRAMWAY REVENUE
"REDUCTION NOT SERIOUS '* Concern at tho fall in tramway rovonue was expressed by Mr. G. Grey Campbell at a meeting of tho Auckland Transport Hoard yesterday. Mr. Campbell said the revenue was still decreasing and services had been reduced to a minimum. Ho suggested that if the services were reviewed improved returns might result. The chairman, Mr. J. A. C. Allum, said there was not a serious reduction in revenue. Last week the figures were undoubtedly low, but the average revenue over a considerable period had been reasonably satisfactory. It was proposed that the manager, Mr. A. E. Ford, should submit a report to the board. It was pointed out by a member that the present time of the year was perhaps the least busy so far as tramway traffic was concerned.
