TWO JURYMEN FINED

LATE ARRIVAL AT COURT CASES AT HAMILTON [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON. Tuesday Two Hamilton residents, Messrs. J. W. Belz and F. J. Marfell, who had been summoned to serve as members of the grand jury at the Hamilton Supreme Court this morning, failed to appear when their names were called. They were each fined £5, unless they gave a satisfactory explanation. Both men appeared before Mr. Justice Smith half an hour later. Mr. Belz said the heavy rain yesterday had caused him extra work this morning and he was delayed. Mr. Marfell said he had overlooked the appointment.

His Honor impressed upon the men the importance of obeying a Supreme Court summons. Ho reduced tho fine in each case to £l.
