THE MATAROA The Shaw, Savill and Albion liner Matarca left Wellington for Auckland yesterday afternoon, to complete unloading merchandise from London. She is duo tomorrow morning.

THE YOSERIC Wet weather yesterday delayed the discharging of Java sugar from the Bank Line rootor-ship Yosenc at Chelsea and her departure for Newcastle has been postponed until to-morrow afternoon. THE TANKER lEINI The Greek tanker Irini is expected from Wellington this afternoon. She will berth at Western Wharf to unload bulk petrol from Russia for the Associated Motorists Petrol Company. THE MAR AM A The Marama is due at Wellington from Sydney thia morning and ehe is expeeted to for Auckland this evening. The vessel will leave Auckland for Sydney direct on Friday afternoon. THE WAIKOTJAITI The Waikouaiti is scheduled to leave Newcastle to-day for Sydney and Port Kembla to complete loading for Bluff, Dunedin, Timaru and Lyttelton. THE PORT WAIKATO The Port Waikato is reported to have cleared Sydney yesterday for Lyttelton and Dunedin to unload cargo from New South Wales ports. THE REMU'ERA The New Zealand Shipping Company's liner Remuera is scheduled to leave London on Thursday for Auckland and Wellington. She is due at Auckland on September 30. THE NARBADA The '"Union Company's chartered steamer Narbada, en routo from Calcutta and Penang, left Singapore for Samarang last Friday to complete loading for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru, Dunedin end Bluff. She is scheduled to reach Auckland about September 11. TANKER WILLY With a cargo of bulk petrol for the Shell Company, the Norwegian tanker Willy left Balik Papan for Wellington last lhursday. The vessel is due at Wellington about September 4. She was formerly named the Gold Shell. MABEL MOLLER IN TYPHOON ■ Advice has been received that the steamer Mabel Moller, formerly the Kurow, which left Auckland in June, encountered a typhoon when approaching Hongkong on her voyage from Newcastle. About 4ft. of water was shipped in No. 1 hold during the Btorm. THE PORT CAMPBELL The Commonwealth and Dominion Line nteamer Port Campbell is reported to have left Sydney (yesterday for Bluff to commence loading in New Zealand. The vessel will also load at New Plymouth, Wangar.ui, Wellington, Gisborne and Auckland. She is scheduled to clear Auckland for London, via Cape Horn, on September 13. RANGITANE DELAYED. Rough seas at Napier yesterday delayed the loading, of the New Zealand Shipping Company's motor-liner Rangitane and her departure for Auckland was _ postponed until this evening. The vessel is now due on Thursday morning and she will berth at Queen's Wharf to complete loading. She is scheduled to leave Auckland for London, via Panama, on September 1. A. AND A. NEW YORK SAILINGS The New Zealand Shipping Company has received advice that the City of Bedford, running under the allspices of the A. and A. Line, will leave New York on October 8. via Gulf of Mexico porta, for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Australia in place of the City of Tokio. She will be followed by the* Ashburton on November 22 and the City of Auckland on December 15.

WARSHIPS' MOVEMENTS H.M.S. Diomede sailed for Russell yesterday afternoon and she will bo followed' by H.M.S. Dunedin, which will sail at seven o'clock this morning. The two cruisers will defend the northern coast from a mock attack by the Australian warships Canberra, Australia and Tattoo. The five warships will go to Russell next Saturday and will remain there until August 80, when they will come to Auckland, where they will arrive the following day. THE PORT FREMANTLE The Commonwealth and Dominion Line motor-ship Port Fremantle arrived from New York and Savannah yesterday afternoon and is unloading at Central Wharf. She is to sail for Wellington and Australia this afternoon to complete discharge. During the passage from Savannah to Panama the vessel crossed the edge of a hurricane and experienced stormy weather for 24 hours, the conditions necessitating her being hove to for a short period. In the Pacifio the weather was generally good until the vessel was nearing New Zealand yesterday morning when a boisterous north-east wind and frequent heavy rain squalls were experienced. MONOWAI'S 1 BOISTEROUS TRIP An exceptionally boisterous trip from Sydney was experienced by the Monowai. which arrived yesterday morning and berthed at Prince's Wharf. The vessel sailed from Sydney on Thursday afternoon and 12 hours after leaving port she encountered a moderate north-east gale and rough head seas, which continued until she reached the shelter of the Hauraki Gulf. Frequent heavy rain was experienced from Sunday afternoon. Owing to the wet.wqather yesterday delaying cargo operations the vessel's departure for Suva. Honolulu and Vancouver has been postponed until two o'clock this afternoon, instead of eleven o'clock this morning.
