BOXER'S COLLAPSE
. WANGANUI AMATEUR REMOVAL TO HOSPITAL CONDITION REPORTED SERIOUS [BY TELEGRAPH —OWN CORRESPONDENT! WANGANUI, Monday While contesting the final of the heavy-weight division in the Wanganui amateur boxing championships this evening, E. Dillon, of Taihape, collapsed and had to be assisted from the ring. • , When Dillon's condition became worse, he was taken to the Wanganui Hospital, where it was found he was suffering from hemorrhage of the brain. An operation was performed, and tho injured man's condition was reported at a late hour this evening to be serious. Dillon had previously taken part in a hard-fought elimination bout, and when he entered the ring to contest; the final with J. Adams, of Feilding, he appeared to be fit. However, after a few blows had been exchanged, the boxer became dazed, and the referee stopped the bout. After being assisted from the ring Dillon seemed to revive, but then he suffered a relapse and had to bo removed to hospital.
