SUCCESSFUL CARNIVAL
iWAITEMATA FOOTBALL CLUB A successful queen carnival conducted by the Waitemata Rugby Foofcball Club has just, concluded in Henderson and the surrounding district. The club has benefited to the extent of £92, which will enable it to lease and put in order a large concrete storage shed in Henderson that will make an excellent training shed for footballers and will servo as a centre for all sport in the- district. Tho district was divided into three parts for the carnival, Miss Rachel Bussey representing Henderson, Miss Betty Robertson (Swanson), and Miss Olga. Yellas (Henderson Valley). The count was made on Thursday evening, and Miss Betty Robertson was elected queen by 10,000 votes, the returns of the Committees being: Swanson, £'4o; Henderson, £.')s; and Henderson Valley, £l7. A crowning ceremony to be hold at Henderson is being arranged.
