ECONOMIC CONFERENCE
ADVANTAGE TO EMPIRE CANADIAN MINISTER'S VIEW t . . (Received August 4, 6.55 p.m.) QUEBEC. Aug. 3 The Canadian Minister of Finance, Mr. E. N. Rhodes, returned from the World Economic Conference to-day. He expressed the opinion that one great advantage of tho conference from the Canadian point of view was the closer cementing together of the various parts of the Empire. Opportunity had been taken for almost constant consultation between the Empire delegations. Probably never had the Empire found it possible to act in inoro whole-hearted co-operation, or to si-eak with a more unanimous voice on fundamental world problems. MR. W.
