FARM WORKER INJURED

MISHAP WITH POWER HOE FELL ON REVOLVING BLADES [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] GISBOKNE, Friday While working with a petrol motordriven rotary hoe on the property of Mr. Leslie Cooper, at Wainui, Mr. Lionel Cuff, aged 52, met with an accident and was badly gashed on both legs. Mr. Cuff was driving the machine downhill when it struck two bumps in succession. In the first he managed to keep control, but with the second bump the handles of the maclyne were wrenched from his grasp and he fell forward on to the revolving blades. Mr. Cuff was immediately taken to the Cook Hospital, where his condition this afternoon was reported to be satisfactory.
