WALKER AND COUNT VARGA There should bo a large attendance at the Town Hall on Monday evening when Georgo Walker will meet Count Varga under tho direction of the Auckland Wrr.stling Association. This will be Varga's first appearance jn Auckland. He has had several successes in the South over men who have appeared nt the Town Hall against Walker and ho has created a very favourable impression with the Wellington public. He has not, however, met opponents of Walker's ability, and his real worth will bo revealed when he meets the Now Zealand and British Empire chamoion on Monday , night. Walker has an unbeaten record this season and his many admirers will bo anxious to see him rotain it. RUMBERG DEFEATS PATTERSON ' [BY TELEGRAPH—TOESS ASSOCIATION] NELSON, Friday In a wrestling match last evening Hal. Rumberg defeated Jack Patterson, when the latter was unable to continue after being thrown through the ropes on to the floor in the sixth round. Humbert? gained a fall jn the third round with a body-press following a series of headlocks. In the fifth round Rumberg submitted to a bnr toehold. A largo house enjoyed the bout.
