LODGE ANNIVERSARY
HELENSVILLE CELEBRATION • _:— .... The 50th anniversary of the foundation of Court Star of Helensville, Kb. | 6693, A.0.F., was celebrated at ft dinner, followed by a ball, on Thurs* day evening. Mr. G. Taylor, C.R., pr* > sided at the dinner and he was as-, sisted by the secretary, Mr. A. C. K. White. There" was a gathering of 75 t including representatives from 15 _ . courts in the Auckland district and the 1.0.0. F. About 500 people attended - ' the ball. Court Star of Helensville was con- -f stituted in 1883, the founders being Messrs. J. Griffiths, R. E. Lester and H. C. Powell, The court's hall was | erected in the following year and since then various additions and improve- . ments have been made. The oldest present member is Mr. J. Hall, aged 80, who has been a member for 48 years. The combined ages of the 10 oldest members is 649 years and their f' membership periods amount to 383 years.
