Public notice is hereby given that, in pursuance and exercise of its powers under the Town Boards Act, 1903, the Rating 'Act, 1925, the Hospital and Charitable Institutions Act, 1926, the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, and any amendments thereof respectively, and of all other powers enabling it in that behalf, the Henderson Town Board intends, on TUESDAY, the 22nd day of August, 1933, to make and levy for the year commenced on the Ist day of April, 1933, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1934, the following Rates, viz:— 1. A General Rate of Fourpence and one-thirty-second of one penny (4 l-32d) in the Pound (£1). 2. A Hospital and Charitable Aid Rate of seven-eighths of one penny (Id) in the pound (£1). 3. The Special Rates (Recurrent), to provide interest and sinking funds on loans remain as struck, but that only an amount sufficient to meet requirements be collected, as follows: (a) Riding Loans —a Rate of one halfpenny (id) in the Pound (£1). (b) Streets Improvements Loan—a Rate of twopence (2d) in the Pound (£1). (c) Streets Improvements Supplementary Loan—a Rate of fifteen-sixteenths of one penny (15-16 d) in the Pound (£1). WATER RATES.—In respect of the Ordinary Supply, upon all lands and buildings to which water is supplied (excepting supplies per meter), a Kate of Threepence (3d) in the Pound (£1) on the unimproved value of all such property, with minimum charge of Ten Shillings (10s). NON-CONSUMERS. —Upon all lands and buildings to whioh water can be, but is not supplied, situate within one hundred yards from any part of tho waterworks, a Rate of One Penny (Id) in the Pound (£1) on the unimproved value of all such property, with a minimum charge of Five Shillings (ss). Suoh water rates to be levied upon all rateable property as appearing in the Valuation Roll for the time being in force in the Henderson Town District. 5. SANITATION RATE.—A uniform annual feo in respect of the removal and disposal of nightsoil from closets and privies and cleansing of pans, at the rate of Two Pounds (£2) for each pan in any such closets or privies, upon each and every property in the Henderson Town District having a building erected thereon, and where the area of the land on such property does not exceed one-half of on acre, and on all properties with buildings used as hotels or boarding houses. Tho said Rates and Fees to be payable in each case in one sum on the 30th day of August, 1933. at the Henderson Town Board Office, Thomas Street, Henderson, to W. H. Roberts, the Board's Collector, or to such other person as may be appointed from time to time to collect and receive the same. A REBATE of Five per centum will be allowed on all general, hospital and special rates paid before the expiration of thirty days after due date thereof. A copy of the Estimates of Receipt* and Expenditure for the year ending March 31, 1934, upon which the abev-mentioned rates are based, having been approved by the Board, is, together with the Valuation Roll open for inspection during office hours at the Board's Office, Henderson.
