BOUTS AT GISBORNE [by telegraph—press association] GISBORNE, Friday In a professional boxing bout this evening boforo a crowded house Johnny McKay (Gisborne) beat Harry Hughes (Hamilton) on points. Hughes was aniatour light-weight champion last year and was making his first appearance in tho professional ranks. Ted Morgan, welter-weight champion of New Zealand, defeated Gus Fitzmaurico (Gisborne). The title was not involved. Jll the aniatour contests A. - White (Gisborne) beat J. Wilkins (Palmerston North), W. Wallace (Hamilton) boat J. Clayton (Gisborrte). J. Thornton (Hamilton) beat S. Matchett (Gisborne), the refcreo stopping the bout.
