RAISING TO 18 URGED [BT TELECRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON, Friday Concern at tho fact that within two 5-ears 2-1 15-year-old girls and two girls cf 14 years of age had been married ~ in New Zealand was expressed at a frneeting of the Wellington branch of jtho Society for the Protection of Women and Children specially called to fiiscuss the subject. A motion was carried urging that the Inarriage age for both boys and girls tehould be raised to 16 years. It was Istated that it was desirable that the hiarringo ago and the age of consent fehould be the same as in England.
