SEIZURE OF ENGINES CUSTOMS HITCH OVERCOME (Received August 3. 6.15 p.m.) LONDON, Aug. 3 The Daily Mail states that in spite of a protestation by Mr. C. T. P. TJlm that he and his companions in the Faith of Australia intend to resume their transatlantic flight at the earliest possible moment, Liverpool customs officials seized the monoplane's engines and locked them in a shed pending the payment of duty beliovcd to total £3OO. Tho seizure was made because the engines were made in America. Officials of the Avro Company secured tho release of tho engines on undertaking that they would be fitted into the monoplane and not used in England. Repairs are being effected in Manchester and are expected to be completed in a fortnight.
