COMING BY-ELECTION
MR. HENDERSON'S CAMPAIGN WORK FOR DISARMAMENT (Received August 3, 6.15 p.m.) LONDON, Aug. 3 Mr. Arthur Henderson is touring the Clay Cross division of Derby in connection with the coming by-election for the seat rendered vacant by the death on July 6 of Mr. C. Duncan (Labour). In the course of a speech Mr. Henderson denied that his candidature would interfere with his work on the Disarmament. Conference. On the contrary it would increase his influence. A thumping majority would show tho peoples of other nations that he had been given increased power by the people of his own country. >
