VISIT TO AUSTRALIA PROBABLE PERSONNEL LONDON, July IS The English Lawn Tennis Association has accepted the invitation to send a team to Australia in the 1933-H-l season. He lore the composition of the team can be announced it will be necessary to canvass the players visiting America to see whether they can continue their journey t.o Australia. As thc.v have already expressed eagerness to go, this is a mere formality, and 't is believed that the team will consist of Perry, Hughes, Leo and Wilde. Mr. S. K. Youdale attended the association's meeting, where Mr. H. Roper Barrett, the non-playing captain of the English team, is believed to have pleaded that an Australian tour would fatigue the team. Mr. Youdale replied that unfortunately they were unable to detect any signs of fatigue during the Davis Cup tie, which the Englishmen won so handsomely. He emphasised that the voyage to America, then to Australia and homeward, would provide rest. It, was added by Mr. Youdale that England could not expect the visits of Australian champions, from Norman Brookes onward, to continue if they were not reciprocated. Mr. Yowdalo's speech resulted in an overwhelming vote in favour of the tour.
