BRIDGE EVENING

AUCKLAND PIANO STUDENTS There was a large attendance of students and friends at the annual bridge and five hundred evening of the Auckland Piano Students' Association, held in the Catholic Women's League rooms last evening. Large bowls of brightly-coloured Iceland poppies and calendulas made the rooms very attractive. During the evening vocal items were given by Mrs. R. Isaacs and Mr. •Toffery Laird. They were accompanied by Miss Rowley. Upon arrival tlio guests were received by the president, Miss Joyce AT. Parker, who wore peacock blue velvet. Among the players were:—Mrs. R. Isaacs, Mrs. H.
