CARPET STOLEN

RELIEF WORKER GUILTY CONVICTION AT ONEHUNGA A charge of stealing a largo carpet and 100 ft. of rubber hose, valued at £2O, the property of James Munro, of Onehunga, was made against John E. F. Sudfelt, relief worker (Mr. Goldstine), in the Onehunga Police Court yesterday, before Mr.. W. TL McKean, S.M. Accused pleaded guilty. Sergeant S. A. Brown said tho missing property was found under a houso at Hillsborough occupied by accused, who had denied all knowledge of liow it came there. The articles were missed after complainant had moved his furniture from Hillsborough to Onehunga. Counsel asked for leniency, as accused was a first offender. Accused was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence within 12 months if called on.
