Tho German Cabinet has decided on a substantial reduction of taxation on firms renovating and enlarging their premises. In certain cases factories producing now lines of goods or operating processes benefiting German trade are to bo freed entirely from taxation. These and similar measures will make further inroads in tho revenue of future years, but they imply an improvement in economic conditions. Nevertheless the foreign trade returns for June reflect tho international Jews' boycott of German goods. Compared with May," exports fell by 2,400,000 marks (£120,000 at par) and imports rose by 1,530,000 marks (£70,500).
