MILITARY DANCE
An enjoyable evening was held in the Ponsonby Drill Hall on Saturday when the North Auckland Regiment organised a dance in aid of funds for the sports activities of the territorials. No effort was spared by the committee in order to make the function a success. The hall was decorated with flags and greenery. Prizes were won during, the evening bv Mrs. McMurray, Mrs. Bruco Smith and Miss Matutinovich. The ladies' committee consisted of Mrs. C. S. White, who wore a frock of beige lace; Mrs. 1"'. J. Gwilliam, violet satin; Mrs. M. 11. Downey, black georgette; Mrs. McComb, black silk georgette; Mrs. Wooller, black ring velvet and ermine; Mrs. W. Spcer, blue georgette; Mrs. Gill, floral georgette; Miss 11. Collinson, red georgette and panno velvet; Miss P. Scanlan, floral organdie; Miss M. MacShane, white crepe suede; Miss E. Felts, pink satin; Miss J. Clapham, vieux rose georgette. Among others present were:—Mrs. Bruce Smith, who wore pink crinkled crepe; Mrs. Nettletcwi, black georgette; Mrs. W. Wood, blue georgette; Mrs. Forrest, black figured georgette; Mrs. Clark, scarlet flat crepe; Mrs. Lamb, pale blue satin; Mrs. Pilkington, primrose georgette; Mrs. D. V/. Young, blanc satin; Mrs. G. G. Andrews, navy blue georgette; Mrs. Bull, floral ninon; Mrs. B. 0.
