LATE MR. JOHN COURT
COLLEGE COUNCIL TRIBUTE A tribute to the late Mr. John Court was paid by Sir GeorgeTowlds, retiring president, at the annual meeting of the Auckland University College Council yesterday. Sir George said ha knew Mr. Court practically from the time he arrived in New Zealand. His conduct as a citizen had always been exemplary and his name would always be associated with the college because of the scholarship which it owed to his generosity. He had left behind him a good record. Members of the council stood in silence as a mark of respect to the memory of Mr. Court, and it was decided to send to his relatives a letter of sympathy.
