DEATH AND DESTRUCTION DEMOLITION OF HOUSES (Received July 2, 8.5 p.m.) TOKiO, July I Despatches from Ftisan state that tho Bakutoko .River has overflowed as tho result of a week's rain—tho heaviest for eight years. The floods are spreading destruction. Already 20 people aro known to bo dead. Moro than 1000 houses have been demolished. The floods show no sign of abating.
