SIR ERIC DRUMMOND
AMBASSADORSHIP LIKELY (Received July 2, 15.5 p.m.) GENEVA. July 1 The retiring secretary-general of the League of Nations, Sir Eric Drummond, in bidding farewell to the staff, said they must not be pessimistic as to the future. ]t is believed that Sir Eric will be appointed British Ambassador to Italy shortly.
