PRODUCTION IN MAY COMPARATIVE INCREASE FIGURES FOR 11 MONTHS The increase in the production of butter-fat in the Auckland province was well maintained during May, and the figure for the 11 months of the past season from July 1, 1932, to May 31, 1933. shows a substantial increase over that for the corresponding period of .1931-32. The output in May was 30 per cent higher than in May, 1932, and for the 11 months' period an advance of 23 per cent was shown. The total quantity of l>u(tor-fat produced in the province from July 1, 1932, to May 31, was 17-~>,9r>.'i,()Oolb., which compares with 113,183,00011). in the corresponding period of 1931-32, and 130,963,0(101 b. in 1930-31. The inereaso over the 1931-32 figure was 32,770,0001b., and the output was actually 29,762,0001 h. greater than that for the whole of 1931-32, when 1-16,191,0001b. of fat were produced. Although the final figures for the season, ended on June 30, will not be available until early in August, it is estimated that tho total production was between 22 per cent and 23 per cent higher than in 1931-32. On this basis the output of the. province for 1932-33 should he shown at about 179,000,0001b. butter-fat, against TIG 191,0001b. in 1931-32 and 132.811,0001b. in 1930-31.
The normal warm in production during May accounted for a fall in the figures for that month compared with April and March. The quantity ol' butter-fat produced in May was 9,358,0001b., compared with 14,640,000 lb. in April and 19,247,0001b. in March. Compared with May, 1932, there was an increase of 2,176,0001b.

MORRINSVILLE COMPANY A SUCCESSFUL SEASON [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON. Sunday A successful season from the point of view of production has been experienced by the MorrinsviDe Co-operative Dairy Company, Limited. During the 1932-33 season the company manufactured 2798 tons of butter, as against 2141 tons for the previous season, an increase of 657 tons, or 30 per cent. The company has now been in operation for 11 years and during the first season its output amounted to 247 tons. There are 460 shareholders supplying the company with cream. The quality of butter manufactured during the last season was very satisfactory and averaged over 93 points.
