TOUR BY FARMERS
PARTY FROM AUSTRALIA VISIT NEXT SUMMER Arrangements have been made for a party of Australian farmers to visit New Zealand next February. The visitors will study existing pastoral and agricultural methods and conditions and survey the results of those methods on the farms, and thence the factories and marketing organisations. A somewhat similar tonr was made by ,Vi.otorian farmers last February.
The tour will be conducted under the auspices of the New South Wales Council of Agricultural Associations, and is under the patronage of the NewSouth Wales and New Zealand Departments of. Agriculture. The party propose to leave Sydney by the Monowai <lll February 2 and return by the Aorangi 011 February 2M. Visits to Massey and Lincoln Agricultural Colleges, several experimental farms, butter factories, and the Canterbury wheatgrowing districts, as well as t:> many tscenic resorts, have been included. The underlying idea is to increase the cordial rejationship that already exists between the Dominion and the Commonwealth, and between the agricultural organisations in both countries. White in New Zealand the party will be accompanied by officers of the Government Tourist Bureau, who will be responsible for all tlio arrangements.
