AIDING FUNDS OF BAND Mrs. J. C. Blomfield was the organiser of a successful dance held at the Pirate Ship at Milford on Saturday evening, the proceeds being in aid of funds for the Takapuna Band. A. Cook, chenille velvet frock; Mrs*- Sands, blue crepe de chine with "black velvet coatee. Among those present were Mrs. F. A. Davies, who wore a frock of cream georgette and lace; Mrs. Waterhouse, embroidered georgette; Mrs. Harrison, bottle-green satin; Mrs. Allan Phillips (Mauurewa), rose pink taffeta; Mrs. Mandeno, scarlet net; Mrs. Burgess, scarlet satin beaute; Miss K. Sheriff, Nile green georgette, Miss E. Sheriff, flame georgette with velvet wrap; Miss E. Morgan, pink angel skin lace; Miss Marjorv Meek, lavender fur-trimmed marocain; Miss Rentoul, white floral taffeta; Miss H. Hyland, delft blue georgette; Miss G. Hyland, cornflour blue chiffon velvet; Miss Sylvia Scales, ivory satin.
