DANCE AT PIRATE SHIP
AIDING FUNDS OF BAND Mrs. J. C. Blomfield was the organiser of a successful dance held at the Pirate Ship at Milford on Saturday evening, the proceeds being in aid of funds for the Takapuna Band. The ladies of the committee present comprised Mrs. J. C. Blomfield, who wore a frock of black ring velvet with diamante relief; Mrs. Sherlev, daffodil satin; Mrs. J. M. jF. Connelly, cerise lace with Oriental coatee; Mrs. Lawrence, flame taffeta; Mrs. Scales, black ring velvet with diamante trimming; Mrs. Malcolm, cherry satin beaute; Mrs. Davies, silver lame; Mrs. Smithers, black lace; Mrs. Molder, black crepe de chine; Mrs. Eade, figured crepe de chine; Mr?. A. Cook, chenille velvet frock; Mrs*- Sands, blue crepe de chine with "black velvet coatee. Among those present were Mrs. F. A. Davies, who wore a frock of cream georgette and lace; Mrs. Waterhouse, embroidered georgette; Mrs. Harrison, bottle-green satin; Mrs. Allan Phillips (Mauurewa), rose pink taffeta; Mrs. Mandeno, scarlet net; Mrs. Burgess, scarlet satin beaute; Miss K. Sheriff, Nile green georgette, Miss E. Sheriff, flame georgette with velvet wrap; Miss E. Morgan, pink angel skin lace; Miss Marjorv Meek, lavender fur-trimmed marocain; Miss Rentoul, white floral taffeta; Miss H. Hyland, delft blue georgette; Miss G. Hyland, cornflour blue chiffon velvet; Miss Sylvia Scales, ivory satin.
