THE PAKURANGA HUNT
MEET AT OPAHEKE FINE SPORT ENJOYED The Pakuranea Hunt met at the crossroads, Opaheke, on Saturday, under ideal conditions. There was a large number of spectators, and splendid sport was enjoyed by over 70 followers. Tho hounds threw of! in Messrs. Hollinger and Hosking's nursery garden, and worked through to Cojnmander D. A. Bingley's property, where a hare was put up. It was killed on the Opaheke Road after a short, sharp run. The hunt moved back to Commander Bingley's property, where a good hare was put up. It took the hunt for a splendid run across the road toward the hilly country, where it turned and came back across several farms to Commander Bingley'a land It again turned, but was killed in 6ome tea-tree after a run of quite seven miles, at the end of which there were several empty saddles. The hunt moved to Mr. Roy's land, where a draw was made in a plantation, but the hare got into very difficult country and the hounds had to be called off. No further hares were started, and the hunt returned to Commander Bingley's residence, where a_ yery enjoyable afternoon tea was provided. Among the followers were the master, Mr. H.
