CONTINENTAL FILMS
SCREENING IN DOMINION NOTEWORTHY STEP TAKEN The directors of British Empire Films announce having entered into a five years' contract with Messrs. Pathe Freres of Paris for the distribution of approved French pictures throughout Australia and New Zealand. This will bring to the screen of Australia and New Zealand, several spectacular French musical productions, together with films of strong dramatic power. The company has also entered into a five years' agreement to distribute the product of the Ufa Film Trust of Germany. This is the principal producing company of that country. The first of the pictures under the new distribution plan, is the big musical spectacle " JRonny," now on its way to the Dominion. In addition, " The Right to Happiness," Richard Tauber's latest picture, will arrive shortly. It will undoubtedly be a good tonic for the picture industry for a certain number of specially selected Continental pictures to be seen on the screens in the Dominion, and the innovation should be welcomed by picture-goers.
