BOOKS FOR RELIEF CAMPS

FURTHER DONATIONS Many more parcels of books, magazines and papers have been forwarded during the week to tho Rev. C. Turner, vicar of To Aroha, for distribution among the relief camps of the district. So liberal has been the response to our appeal that not only has the Elstow camp—which I suggested we might " adopt " —been supplied with reading matter, but Mr. Turner has been able to take a quantity of literature to three other camps in the district. Such a success passes all bounds of anticipation, and the men in camp are grateful indeed for tho kindly interest and liberal response to our appeal. The suggestion has been made that there should be an interchange of tho camp libraries, so that all the men will be assured of plenty of reading matter for a long time to come, and this course w/i! probably be adopted. As you will see from the list below, over 500 books, magazines and papers have been received, so that our original objective—loo books —has been exceeded five-fold.
