CRUISING IN ISLANDS
ENGLISH YACHTS AT SUVA [VROM OUR. OWN COKRKSrONDENTI SUVA, June 7 Cruising in the South Seas by small yachts is becoming increasingly popular, judging by the various small craft that have put in an appearance at Suva (luring the past year. The 40-ton yacht Vanora, which is under the joint ownership of Lieutenant-Commander Hollins, R.N., and Messrs. Maitland, Genoyro and 'Wykehain, has been at Suva for several weeks past. This yacht has now been joined by the 10-ton yacht Invala, which is also on u cruise of the world. The Invala is owned by Dr. Temple ITtlcy, and there is on board Mrs. Utlev, Mr. H. Mapes, Mrs. Mapes and a Tahitian named Haputu Kekela. The yacht left England in September, IMO, and lias since boon cruising in various parts of the world. She recently spent nine months at Tahiti, and arrived here on Sunday last from Nukualofa. The departure of the yacht and her destination is at present uncertain, the owner preferring to come and go when and where his fancy takes thoin. The party states that it has thoroughly enjoyed the cruise, particularly at Tahiti, where a very enjoyable time was spent.
