LODGE ANNIVERSARY

KAWAKAWA ODDFELLOWS [FROM OUll OWN COIIBESPOXDKNTI WHANGAREI, Friday A number of representatives of the Hikurangi and Whangarei Oddfellows' Lodges visited Kawakawa to attend the 50t)i anniversary of the Kawakawa Lodge, No. 37. There was an attendance of about 200 and representatives were present from Kaitaia, Kaikobe, Hikurangi, Whangarei, Helensville, Henderson aiwl Auckland. P G Bros. Gurncy, McNamara, Bedgjrood and McCready, who joined the lodge in 1883, were present During the evening Bro. Williamson, D.D.G.M. for the Bay of Islands, presented a P.G.'s jewel to Bro. A. McCready in recognition of his valuable services to the lodge over a period of 40 years. A suitable toast list, interspersed with vocal and musical items, was followed by dancing.
