GIGANTIC STATUE

ERECTION IN MOSCOW SITE OF FORMER CATHEDRAL (.Received June 1, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, June 1 The Moscow correspondent of the Manchester Guardian says a gigantic statue of Lenin, 160 feet high, will replace the former golden dome of the Cathedral of Our Saviour (demolished in 1932) as an outstanding feature of the Moscow landscape.

The statue, it is stated, will crown a grandiose structure which is being erected on the site of the former Cathedral.
