BIRKENHEAD BAND
ELECTION OF OFFICERS The loth annual meeting of the Birkenhead Borough Band was held last evening. Mr. .J. Macdonald presided. The report and balance-sheet were adopted. These showed that the present. strength of the band was 2(5. The liabilities for instruments and uniforms were reduced from £192 to £169. Assets exceeded liabilities by £126. The following odicers woro elected:— Patrons, the Mayor, Mr. G. Mills, and Mr. J. C. Yoomans; conductor, Lieutenant J. T. Lighten; treasurer, .Mr. 1\ J. McGovern; secretary, Mr. V. K. Queeuin; librarian, Mr. 0. A. Huddlcstoiij auditor, Mr. N. J. Stewart; solicitor, Mr. J. Kerruish; committee, Messrs. .J. Macdonald, R. 15. Hayman, \Y. Hall (Borough Council representatives)., J. Prickott, E I'. Lanigan (representing honorary members), G. A. Huddleston, A. Stott, W. Wilson and P. Williams (bandsmen'B representatives).
