DECLINE IN ATTENDANCES IMPROVEMENTS TO BUILDING A total annual attendance of G274 at tho Auckland Sailors' Horue is shown in tho 48tli annual report to be presented at the annual meeting on June 14. Last year tho attendance was 9627. The highest attendance in on« month this year was in April, when the total was 800. A special contribution of £SOO was received from Wellington during the year for urgent and necessary improvements now in progress. A further sum of £250 had been received from the King George's Fund for Sailors, London, to help tho Samaritan work. This account was in debt to the extent of £539, after providing during the year free board and lodging to distressed seamen to the value of £lO6. Expenditure in the general account is £217 in excess of income.
