RUGBY MATCH INCIDENT
PLAYER ORDERED OFF TEAM LEAVES THE FIELD [by TF.LEGRArH PRESS ASSOCIATION*] PAHIATUA, Monday In the course of a senior Rugby footbail match on Wednesday, the referee ordered A.- Mahoney, a Konini player, off the field, and the whole team went off. The Bush Rugby Football Union considered tbe matter on Saturday night in committee, and resolved that in view of the publicity already given the affair, and the fact that Mahoney had already stood down one Saturday, he be severely cautioned against rough play. The union also resolved that any team leaving the lield in future should be severely dealt with, and that no excuse be accepted, the penalty being suspension for four playing Saturdays at least.
In the case of two players ordered off at Mangatainoka for fighting 011 Saturday, the men were stiongly cautioned and ordered to stand down till June 8.
