ROTARY CLUB OFFICERS

NEW PRESIDENT ELECTED The election of Mr. S. J. Harbutt as president of tho Auckland Rotary Club was announced at the club's luncheon in Milne and Choyce's Reception Hall yesterday. Mr. W. Coltman presided. . The officers for the year, as recommended by the nomination committee and approved by tho club, are as follows: —President, "Mr. S. J. Harbutt; vice-president, Mr. G. Lawrence Taylor; directors, Professor R. M. Algie and Messrs. J. E. Astley, F. M. Shortt and F. Chapman; secretary, Mr. D. G. Commons; treasurer, Mr. J. M. Elliffe; auditor, Mr: 11. F. Ward. It was announced, on behalf of Sir Joseph Smith, chairman of the boys' unemployment committee, that as a result of tho appeal issued to members, 15 boys had been placed in positions during the past week. All address on "International Relations" was given by Mr. J. A. C. Allum.
