CHURCH MEETINGS

ST. THOMAS' PARISH There was a good attendance at the parish annual meeting of St. Thomas' Church. Tho \'icar, tho Rev. A. R. Allerton, presided. The vestry's report showed the parish to bo in a healthy position. During tho year there had been a steady increase in tho attendance at all services, especially in tho numbers of communions. Financially, tho parish was in much the same position as in tho previous year, Tho St. Thomas' mission and tho junior vestry were additions to tho various parochial organisations, all of which were well up to standard. Tho meeting expressed its appreciation and gratitude to tho Dock Street Mission for its warm co-operation and support in establishing tho St. Thomas' mission. Reference was also made to the recent additions to the church's ornaments and vestments, especially to tho very rich hanging rood, which had been given by Mr. Joseph Raines in memory of his wife. The following officers were elected : Vicar's warden, Mr. J. B. Penlc; peoplo's warden, Mr. T. J. E. Dunningham; vestry, Mesdames Campbell, Luxford and Watts, Messrs. 0. Roberts, C. M. Calder, K. A. Stuart, F. G. Port, E. Harper, T. Dunn and I. B. Allen. ST. PAUL'S, BUCKLAND OFFICERS FOR THE YEAR [FitOil OUK OWN CORRESPONDENT] PUKEKOHE. Monday The parishioners of St. Paul's Church, Buckland, held their annual meeting in the church last evening after evensong, the vicar, the Rev. J. P. Cowio, presiding. The balance-sheet disclosed a small credit. The following officors were elected: — Churchwardens, Messrs. R. Driver and W. Bullock; church committee, Mesdames Butcher, Harris, King and Stringer, Miss R. Jefl'eris, Messrs. A. F. Hewitt, B. King, P. G. Osmond, Otter and Innes Wilcox; representatives on the central vestry, Messrs. W. Bullock, A. F. Hewitt and P. G. Osmond.
