CHURCH JUBILEE

ESTABLISHED 60 YEARS CELEBRATIONS AT CAMBRIDGE [from our own correspondent! CAMBRIDGE. Monday The congregation of Trinity Presbyterian Church, Cambridge, is celebrating the diamond jubilee of the church this week. The church was established with the induction on September 29, 1872, of the Rev. Thomas Stewart. Ministers associated with the church during the 60 years are: —Rev. Thomas Stewart, 1872-74; Rev. S. J. Neil, 1875-77; Rev. William Evans, 1878-96; Rev. Thomas Scott, 1896-99; Rev. John Irwin, 1899-1904; Rev. W. J. Gow, 1905-16; Rev. T. H. Roseveare, 1916-23; llov. James Hay, 1923-32. Tho present minister is the Rev. A. C. McLean, who was inducted on December 22 last and formerly was minister at Waipukurau. There wero record congregations at the opening services yesterday, the preachers being the Rev. H. G. Gilbert, of Hamilton, moderator of the Waikato, and the Rev. T. H. Roseveare, of Papatoetoe, and formerly of Cambridge. This afternoon an old members' reunion was hold in tho Peace Memorial Hall, when there were aboutJso present, including members whose association dated back over 50 years. Tho celebrations will continue throughout the week.
