SCHOOL COMMITTEES
PROTEST AGAINST ELECTION I ' ~ Protests against the election of the school committee at Mangonui were received by the Auckland Education Board yesterday. It was alleged that Qualified persons were not allowed to vote and that some electors voted twice. The matter Vas referred to the chairman, Mr. T. U. Wells, with power to act. The following commissioners were appointed in cases where householders had failed to elect committees during the last two years:—Brooklynn, Mr. G. H. Goodman; Churchill, Mr. H. Jhoinas, Eureka, Mr. P. Shine; lutamoe, Messrs. E. and N. Heath; Waimatenui, ill*. E. Schepens; Whangaparapara, Mr. G. Gascoigne.
