AUCKLAND ROWING CLUB

DANCE AND PRIZE-GIVING The annual dance ahd prize-giving night of the Auckland Rowing €lub was held in the Symondsville Studio last evening and proved a highly successful function. Excellent music was provided by the Columbian Dance Band. During an interval in the dancing the presentation of cups and trophies took place, the names of the winners being announced by the club captain, Mr. George Hogan. The club trophies were presented by Mr. Ernest Davis, vicepresident of'the Auckland Rowing Association; the Hallyburton-Johnstone Cup bv Mr. Hallyburton-Johnstone; the Caro Memorial Cup by Mrs. Stanley Caro; and the red caps by Mr. A. C. Norden, chairman of the Auckland Rowing Association. Among those present were: —Mrs. Georgo Hogan, who wore a frock of black ring velvet with a hem of fische not; Mrs. M. 0. Stewart, black georgette with a white pointed yoke;' Miss E. Forrest, duchess blue satin; Miss Mary Jones, cream organdie; Miss L. Atkinson, powder blue lace; Miss Winnie Scott, cyclamen taffeta; Miss Molly Lane, white and rose floral taffeta; Miss T. Houghton, black panne velvet; Miss Baldock, black lace and fische net; Miss Shearer, shell pink satin; Miss L. Mac Donald, black panne velvet; Miss B. Moieswortk, sapphire blue satin; Miss Eileen Raw, emerald green satin; Miss Fogarty, black georgette; Miss Parsons, parchment georgette; Miss P. Rose, black net; Miss G. Cook, black lace; Miss Betty Crane, ivory taffeta bordered with lemon rucked tulle; Miss Ailsa Steven, scarlet crinkled crepe; Miss Joyce Porter, black georgette inlet with bands of lace; Miss R. McGregor, shell pink taffeta; Miss Ivy Spencer, flame satin; Miss Marmont, silver lace; Miss Nancy Hughes, cameo pink pin-tucked organdie; Miss Jean Coates (Whangarei), black lace; Miss H. Gardiner, turquoise blue taffeta.
