A number of famous explorers, including Sir Douglas Mawson and Mr. H. G. Pouting, attended the wedding on April 7, at Christ Church, Lancaster Gate of Patricia, elder daughter of Commander and Mrs. L. C Bernacchi, and Mr .Alfred Crawford. Ihe brides father will be remembered by New Zealanders as physicist to the Southern Cross and Discovery Expeditions with Captain Scott.
