WATER FOR INFIRMARY
COST OF NEW SCHEME CONFERENCE ARRANGED The proposed new water supply at the Auckland Infirmary again came up for discussion at the meeting of the Auckland Hospital Board yesterday. The Buildings Committee reported it had received reports from Messrs. Harrison and Grierson, and also from the resident engineer, and it recommended the adoption of the former report. The prices as finally approved by the committee were:—Cost of .'30,000 gallons reservoir, £378 8s 6d; pumping machinery, £294; pipes for reticulation, £209 8s Id; laying and filling material, £55 6s 8d; fees, £93 16s 9d; total, £lO3l. Mr. W. G. Mulholland said he had been instructed to ask members to discuss the proposals fully with the One Tree Hill Boroiigh Council, which at present supplied water to the infirmary. It was decided to meet members of the council at a special meeting next Monday evening and to refer tho Buildings Committee's report to a special meeting of the board in committee to be helcf 1 next Tuesday, at which tho resident engineer's report would also bo considered.
