STRUCK BY ENGINE
RELIEF WORKER KILLED WALKING ALONG LINE FATALITY IN RAILWAY YARD [BY TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION] DUNEDIN, Monday A fatal accident occurred in the railway yards this morning, when Mr. Thaddeus Edward McMahon, a relief worker, was run over by an engine and was killed instantaneously. Deceased, with another man, was about to join a train to Puketeraki, where he was to have worked, and was walking along by the line when an engine came up from behind and he was dragged beneath it, receiving extensive injuries to the body. Mr. McMahon was a married man with six children.
