FELLOWSHIP GATHERING

MEN OF ALL DENOMINATIONS MOUNT ALBERT MEETING A gathering of an unusual nature was held in St. Mary's Hall, Mount Albert, last evening, when nearly 150 men, representative of all the other denominations in the borough, were the guests of the Roman Catholic congregation of St. Mary's. An interesting address on Thomas Moore was given by Mr. J. .T. Sullivan, in the course, of which many appropriate lines on tolerance were quoted from the poet's writings: A musical programme followed, in which community singing was a feature, Mr. J. J. Fox was song conductor and M.r. A. Dobson accompanist. The evening closed with addresses by tbe Rev. R. G. Coats (Anglican), the Rev. A. Mcßean (Methodist). Sir George Fowkls, Mr. R. E. Mercer (Presbyterian), Mr. H. Turner (Baptist). the Mayor of Mount Albert, Mr. W. F. Stilwefl and the Rev. Father K. McGrath.

The function followed a similar gathering in the Methodist Hall some time ago, and a further fellowship evening is planned for the Anglican Hall.
