THAMES MINER'S DEATH
[BY TELEGRAPH OWN CORRESPONDENT] THAMES. Wednesday An inquest was held this morning before Mr. W. Bongard, coroner, concerning the death of William James Majurey. A verdict was returned that death was caused by a gunshot wound, self-inflicted while deceased was in a depressed mental state following a long period of ill-health. The evidence showed that deceased, who was 46 years of age, was at one time a miner on the Thames field and contracted phthisis. Deceased leaves a widow and eight children.
