WHITE BUTTERFLY PEST
[by TELEGRAPH —OWN con It ESPON dent] WHANGAREI. Wednesday A cabbage white butterfly has been fomul in the Whangnrei district and is now in the possession of Mr. C. V. Stringer. This is thought to be the first obtained in the North. Considerable damage is reported to have been done in the Hawke's Bay district to cabbage plants by these pests. Gardeners are advised to destroy them on sight.
