ACTIVITIES AT HAMILTON [from que own correspondent] HAMILTON, Wednesday The annual meeting of the Hamilton Operatic Society was held last evening, Mr. T. B. Booth presiding over an attendance of 100. The secretary, Mr. P. A. Syers, reported that the last season had been most successful and that tho receipts from the opera "The Belle of New York," produced by the society, had totalled £587. Tho statement of accounts showed £l5O on fixed deposit and a credit balance of £29. The sum of £2O had been donated to charities. The election of officers resulted: Patron, Mr. A. E. Manning; president, Mr. F. H. Olapliani; committee, Mesdanies Myra Booth and H. Piper, Messrs. YV. Blyth, H. F. Saunders, K. P. Eade and C. E. Shakeshaft; secretary, Mr. P. A. Syers. Mr. W. H. Frye, of London, was made a life member.
