ELIMINATION PROCESS NATIONALISTS RESENTFUL LONDON, April 2i The Nazi unification under the national revolution of chambers of commerce and public organisations is the subject of a warning and a protest by the Nationalist leader, Herr Hugenberg, says the Berlin correspondent of the Times. By this process, called " glcichschaltung " Nazis enter the boards meetings ami eject Jews, Marxists and other political opponents. Herr Hugenberg is resentful of the Nationalists' waning influence, and has addressed his warning to the Chancellor, Herr Hitler. Ho condemns the changes which " private patriots " are enforcing, and declares that they cannot alter the legal position. He also pointedly recalls that Herr Hitler promised to maintain the Government in Hs present form, and that he received his power for four years conditionally upon the continued existence of the present Government. Apparently the " gleichschaltung " of the .Protestant Church lias begun in Meokle'nbui'g-Schwcrin wliero the Nazi Premier appointed a commissioner for the Evangelical Lutheran Church, who promptly dissolved its administrative bodies and took over their functions, flio Evangelical churches protested against, the action as being contrary to Herr Hitler's promises, and the Protestant churches in all States are nervous Jest they receive similar treatment. The Nationalists' share in the Government, of Prussia has been further decreased. Captain Goering lias assumed the Premiership. He confirmed a JI the Nazi Ministers, but did not confirm Herr Hugenberg in the Ministries of Laoour and Agriculture.
