FARM TOOLS BURNED

FIRE AT MOUNT ROSKILL Farm implements and other tools, valued at about £IOO, were lost when fire destroyed a shed on a property in Quoenstown Road, Mount Roskill, about 9.30 on Thursday evening. The property is occupied by IN Irs. J. Mahon and belongs to Mrs. J. Glasgow, of 18 Clonbern Road, Rcmuera. The Mount Roskill and Onehunga Fire Brigades answered tho call, but the was ablaze when thoy arrived, and it was impossible to save the contents. The firemen concentrated successfully on preventing the flames from spreading to the house near by. The contents of the shed were not insured. KAMO SHOP DESTROYED CONTENTS ALSO LOST [FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT 1 WHANGAREI, Friday A grocery shop at Kamo, occupied by Mr. Charles McManus, and owned by Mrs. Whitelaw, of Whangarei, was destroyed by firo at two o'clock this morning, together with the contents. Tho shop was in an isolated position, and there was no one on the premises at the time of the outbreak. When discovered by a neighbour tho firo had a strong hold. There is no water supply at Kamo. Particulars of insurances aro not available.
