OKARITO RETURN Tho report of Okarito Five-Mile Beach Gold Dredging Company, Limited (South Westland), for the four weeks from February 26 to March 25 is as follows, the figures for tho previous four weeks' period being -given in parentheses:—Total gold won, 3330z. (3]4oz. Bdwt.); total time worked, 466 (483) hours; total non-working time, 110 (93) hours; total yardngo treated, 31,300 (31,700), an average of 67'*(65i) cubic yards an hour; average value of ground on basis of gold worth £4 an ounce, 10Jd (9Jd) a cubic yard. BENDIGO YIELDS Companies and tributers on tho Bendigo goldfields, Australia, crushed 3000 tons for 16630z. during March, compared with 3433 tons for 1170oz. 7dwt. in February. A splendid contribution was again made by Hercules, which milled 695 tons for 12340z.
